The circle within a circle – or wheel within a wheel – composition of this work may be a play on Euler circles which, similar to Venn diagrams, are used to represent sets and their relationships. The eye is sent darting in circles from each rectangular red accent point to the next. The artist’s son adds the further suggestion that the work may also be reminiscent of a favourite song of the artist’s - ‘The Windmills of Your Mind’ - recorded by Jose Feliciano on his 1969 album.
