Lynne Boyd in States of Being: The Elemental Importance of Water

— Wednesday 9th August 2017

Glimmer 2010 oil on linen 122 x 182cm States of Being Ann Bennett 2017
Curated by Dr Anne Bennett, this group exhibition explores the handling of water in the practices of nine different artists.

Lynne Boyd loves to paint Port Phillip Bay, and in this exhibition she includes three small works which capture glimpses of the Bay as she travels from Blackwood to Brighton.

Also included, and pictured above in detail, is Glimmer, an oil and pencil on linen from 2009/10 which formed part of her exhibition 'Twixt' at the Charles Nodrum Gallery;  and 2017 Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize Finalist Immersion, pictured below.
